Paul Stawinski is a Financial Professional, at Summit Financial, LLC., an RIA-registered investment advisor financial planning firm. Mr. Stawinski brings profound experience in financial services, including in insurance and wealth management and investment advisory.
Before joining Summit Financial, he was the founding partner of CLU Wealth Advisors, a full-service financial planning and financial services company. He wanted to bring his years of experience and knowledge to the public.
Mr. Stawinski was formerly a Managing Director for the MONY Group. In addition, he served as VP for AIG Life; at AIG, he was promoted to serve overseas to manage the Polish Financial Services Company for AIG. Upon his successful return to the US, he was promoted to VP of Sales for Sun America, a Division of AIG, to develop their financial services company. Before joining AIG, Paul was a Financial Advisor at Equitable (AXA) and was promoted to District Manager and then Asst. Agency Manager from 1988 to 1996 and entered the Hall of Fame in 1989, earning the Order of Excalibur. As a manager, he won numerous National Builders Awards for recruiting and financial planning development.
Mr. Stawinski is a graduate of Duquesne University with honors in Psychology and Business. He earned his Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 1988 and is a CFF Certified Financial Fiduciary. He studied advanced wealth management and modern portfolio theory at Harvard University from 2002-2003.
On a personal level, Paul is an avid sailor and licensed USCG Captain; he takes charter guests for tours of Manhattan on the weekend and has sailed worldwide. He is a member of the Sea Cliff Yacht Club and Masonic Yacht Club and a Board member of two foundations. He lives in Manhattan with his wife Melissa and his daughter Lea.
